PETRO-WET is both an oil-wetting agent and a secondary emulsifier for use in mid-run distillatebased invert emulsion drilling fluids. PETRO-WET is highly effective in oil-wetting barite and drilled solids. In the presence of Lime (above 5 kg/m³), PETRO-WET may be used as a primary emulsifier for “relaxed” systems. In conjunction with PETRO-MUL, high temperature stable invert emulsions and low filtration rates can be obtained.
