MAGMA FIBER is a specially formulated acid-soluble extrusion-spun mineral fibre. MAGMA FIBER is used in both water and oil-based fluids to control lost circulation. MAGMA FIBER is available in two grades: Fine and Coarse.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  • Compatible with all oil- and water-based fluids.
  •  Acid souble, 97.3% in 7.5% Hydrochloric acid (HCl).
  • Easily-wetted, non-corrosive, non-fermenting and environmentally-safe.
  •  Effective plugging and bridging agent for voids, fractures and all types of permeable
    formations.

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT

Up to 90 kg/m³ in slug treatments.
15-45 kg/m³ to the active system for seepage loss.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:

Appearance: Grey to tan fibres
Specific Gravity: 2.6
Solubility: Acid-soluble (97% in 7.5% hydrochloric acid)
pH: 7.0-8.0

MIXING/HANDLING:

Add directly into the tanks and gun into the mud. It can be mixed slowly through the hopper as well. Refer to the SDS for specific handling requirements.
