CALCIUM CARBONATE (CaCO3) is ground and sized limestone and is an acid-soluble product that can be used as a weighting agent for drill-in or completion activities. CALCIUM CARBONATE is also used as a bridging agent for fluid loss, lost circulation or wellbore stability applications. CALCIUM CARBONATE is available in four powdered grades and flake.
• Increases the density of water-based and oil-based drilling fluids.
• Used in drill-in, completions and workover applications.
• Is fully acid-soluble.
• Effective sized-particle bridging agent for filtration, lost circulation and squeezes.
• May be used in cement blends.
