ARLOX HSO600 is a liquid, oil-soluble organic formulation that reacts with hydrogen sulfide (H2S) to form an oil-soluble and stable amine sulfide. When added to condensate or crude oil, toxic H2S can be quickly and permanently removed.
1 L/m³ (typically) will remove 170 mg/L H2S.
NOTE: Produced hydrocarbons often contain sulfur compounds other than H2S. If heat is
applied in surface processing, additional H2S may be increasingly formed to
temperatures above 176°C. Required treatment amount depends on the level of H2S
in the system and the degree of reduction desired.
** The general rule is to use 10 ppm of scavenger additive for every 1 ppm of H2S as
measured in the liquid phase. Or use 1 ppm of scavenger chemistry for every 10 ppm
H2S as measured in the head space (vapor phase).
