T-352 Glutaraldehyde

T-352 (Glutaraldehyde) is a glutaraldehyde-based biocide in a water-soluble solvent package.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

Provides control of aerobic and/or sulphate-reducing bacteria in oilfield transfer and disposal systems. Left untreated, bacterial activity in systems can cause fouling, operational problems and accelerated corrosion.
Particularly useful when the formation of emulsions is a concern. Because it does not readily foam, T-352 will not cause system upsets and will not create any production problems resulting from formation contact.
Suitable for controlling bacteria in all areas of production facilities including drilling and production wells, transmission lines and tanks.

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT

It is recommended to use T-352 in batch applications only. The recommended application is periodic batch treatments at a rate of 10L / 10m³ fluids (1000 ppm). Batch frequency will depend on severity of bacteria problem. For production wells, it is recommended to chase the biocide slug with water or methanol (200L). Success of the biocide treatment may be monitored using bacteria culture bottles or other available methods.
