Ultra PAC LV

ULTRA PAC LV is a premium-grade, low-viscosity, poly-anionic cellulose that effectively reduces the API filtration rate of many water-based drilling fluids, especially solids-laden fluids, without causing significant increases in viscosity or gel strength. In addition, small amounts of ULTRA PAC LV polymer can reduce and stabilize the rheology of flocculated and/or solids-laden fluids.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:

Appearance: White-off-white granules, odourless

Specific Gravity: 1.59

Solubility: Soluble, limited by viscosity

MIXING/HANDLING:

Mix slowly through a conventional jet-type mud hopper at 35-40 minutes per bag, over full circulations. Best results are obtained when the product is mixed at a uniform rate no faster than the mixing equipment can handle. Avoid dumping the polymer into the hopper (slugging) as this promotes the formation of “fish eyes” that retard dispersion and reduce efficiency. Refer to the SDS for specific precautions and handling requirements.
