Sea Mud (Sepiolite)

SEA MUD (Sepiolite) is a specialty drilling fluid clay obtained from the only known commercial sepiolite deposit in the Western Hemisphere.

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT

45 – 75 kg/m³ (typically) or as needed to increase viscosity to desired level.

Appearance: Grey-tan powder; odourless
Specific Gravity: 1.9 – 2.4 @ 20°C
Solubility: Insoluble
Bulk Density: 720 – 880 kg/m³ (un-compacted)

MIXING/HANDLING:

Mix through a mixing hopper; yields more effectively when subjected to high shear conditions. Refer to the SDS for specific precautions and handling requirements.
