Sawdust

SAWDUST consists of a mix of heat-treated, recycled and kiln-dried white wood with a ratio of up to 50:50. The moisture content is between 5-12%. SAWDUST is hammer-mill processed and screened to ¼”. SAWDUST is primarily used to combat lost circulation in water-based muds and as an organic absorbent in the event of oil spills.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  •  Swells, bridges and seals fractures and permeable lost circulation zones.
  • Can be mixed with other LCM material to formulate LCM pills.
  • Inert, does not react with drilling fluid additives.
  •  Is unaffected by addition of salt, acid or brine.

Solubility: Insoluble

MIXING/HANDLING:

Mix through a mixing hopper or directly into the tank; provide sufficient agitation. Refer to the SDS for specific handling requirements.
