Rubber Crumb (F,M,C)

RUBBER CRUMB is a lost circulation material (LCM) made up of vulcanized rubber ground available in 3 sizes: Fine, Medium and Coarse.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  •  Used as a seepage loss, LCM and bridging agent for all drilling fluid systems.
  •  Chemically-inert.
  •  May be added to any water- or oil-based fluid.
  •  Will deform under pressure and can be squeezed into fractures or voids: will then return to
    its original shape and size.
  •  This physical feature enables it to provide an effective and lasting seal.

20-80 kg/m³ (typically)

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:

Appearance: Black granules; mild rubber odour
Specific Gravity: 0.95 – 1.40
Solubility: Insoluble (water)

MIXING/HANDLING:

Mix into the mud or LCM pill. Refer to the SDS for specific precautions and handling requirements
