Drispac®

Bri-Chem Supply Ltd

Drispac®

DRISPAC® Polymers are high-quality poly-anionic cellulose polymers. They are used for fluid loss control, viscosity and inhibition in water-based drilling fluids. DRISPAC® Polymers come in two viscosity grades: DRISPAC® Regular Polymer (high viscosity) and DRISPAC® Superlo® Polymer (medium viscosity).

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  • Controls fluid loss.
  • Promotes fragile gels.
  • Inhibits hydratable, swelling clays.
  • Environmentally compatible.
  • Non-fermenting; no preservative needed.
  • Works well at any salinity.
  • Good thermal stability to > 150°C.
  • Reduces friction and can reduce ECD.
  • Produces thin, slick, tough filter cake.
  • Retards drilled solids build-up by inhibiting cuttings disintegration.

Drispac® is designed specifically for use in water-based drilling and drill-in fluids, workover
fluids and completion fluids of any salinity. Drispac® will provide more efficient
performance with calcium below 500 mg/L; slightly more polymer will be needed at higher
calcium levels.
